About the Department

Mental health is an integral component of the concept of health as defined by WHO. The Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences at FRPMC aims to promote mental health by delivering high-quality clinical services to psychiatric patients.

The department teaches behavioral sciences to help students understand patient behavior in various clinical situations. Undergraduates gain the knowledge and skills to manage common psychiatric disorders in hospital and community settings. Services are provided at PAF Base Faisal and Masroor Hospitals, including in-patient and out-patient care.

The department also conducts programs to raise awareness and reduce stigma related to mental health among students, faculty, and the community.
