About the Department

The Department of Pathology is an integral part of Fazaia Ruth Pfau Medical College and Air University. The subjects of General Pathology, Special Pathology, Microbiology and Immunology are taught to MBBS students from first to fourth year using modern teaching strategies.

Innovative methodologies such as team-based learning, interactive sessions, tutorials and slide seminars are emphasized. The department operates through academic divisions at the college campus and diagnostic divisions at PAF Hospital Faisal Base.

The academic and diagnostic divisions comprise Histopathology, Microbiology, Hematopathology and Chemical Pathology laboratories. Future plans include postgraduate programs, expanded research activities, journal clubs, CME and CPC sessions to enhance academic excellence.
