Excellence in Eye Care & Education
The Department of Ophthalmology at FRPMC provides comprehensive eye care services and education. The department teaches medical students through lectures, demonstrations, discussions, and clinical case observations.
It is equipped to perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including electro-cautery, cryo-therapy, phototherapy, carbon dioxide laser, and chemical peels. The department emphasizes both patient care and cosmetic/aesthetic procedures.
The faculty also trains students to address community challenges in ophthalmology and plans to affiliate with the College of Physicians & Surgeons Pakistan to train future fellows (FCPS) and members (MCPS). The department follows guidelines set by Air University and Pakistan Medical Commission.
