Where Medicine Meets Law & Justice
The Department of Forensic Medicine at Fazaia Ruth Pfau Medical College (FRPMC) comprises a well-equipped forensic museum, laboratory, tutorial rooms and dedicated head & faculty offices.
The forensic museum contains weapons of assault, forensic models, toxicological specimens, medico-legal X-rays, forensic photographs, slides, microscopes, UV lamps, human skeletons and bones, autopsy kits, abortion instrument sets and multimedia facilities for enhanced learning.
As part of practical training, 3rd year MBBS students regularly visit mortuaries, medico-legal sections, emergency departments and chemical examiner laboratories. Forensic Medicine bridges medicine and law, applying medical knowledge to solve legal problems and aid in the administration of justice.
