About the Department

FRPMC is devoted to imparting community-oriented quality medical education of international standards to produce competent and compassionate physicians. Biochemistry is the language of medical science, helping in understanding other basic as well as clinical subjects with the ultimate aim of maintaining health.

The Department of Biochemistry offers a dynamic, advanced and innovative curriculum incorporating recent trends in molecular biology, medicine, genetics and behavioral sciences. The integrated modular curriculum focuses on applying biochemical knowledge to understand life sciences at the molecular level in health and disease.

Our teaching approaches include interactive lectures, small group discussions (SGD), tutorials, team-based learning (TBL), clinical case presentations, and interpretation of laboratory reports in relation to medical ailments.
